United Kingdom – Siemens Switzerland Ltd has exhibited in the recently concluded IFSEC 2007 in Birmigham its latest motion detector adopting PIR signal processing technology complemented by an optical detection system, virtually ruling out false alarms. Wireless Alarm System
Dubbed as the Eyetec, the motion detector uses image analysis algorithm that evaluates captured motion patterns and assesses them for plausibility. The image sensor records events before, during and after an alarm, thereby allowing for reliable and traceable evaluation.
The PIR component features a black triplex mirror that filters out white light that may cause false alarms. Unlike conventional motion detectors, the Eyetec has an antiblocking function that issues an alarm when tampering or any other irregularity is detected. The product meets European standard EN 50131-2 Grade 4 and complies with VdS Class C.
